Pictomio - Manage, organize, and archive your photo collection and be used to create elaborate animated slideshows
If you are passionate about photography or you make a living out of it, your hard disk is probably filled with various photos, taken over time. You may wish to show these pictures to your friends and family. For this, you could use the slide show feature included in the Windows image viewer but this lacks a lot of features and may seem boring after some time. Besides that, the transition effects are extremely limited. Another solution would be using Pictomio. This is a software that allows anyone to display any photo in an astonishing slideshow, using various transition effects, but without being limited to this function.
The installation process of Pictomio can be run by most users, even beginners, as the entire process is straightforward and very simple to complete. The program supports almost any Windows version, including XP and Windows 7. It takes up about 6 MB of hard disk space and requires little system resources.
The interface of Pictomio is pleasant to the eye and offers a graphical form, making it easy to control by anyone. All that needs to be done in order to use the program is to navigate to the picture folder and click on the play button. Pictomio will automatically display all the images in the current folder in a slideshow, using various transition effects. The user can select for how long every image is displayed and also the transition effect, during the slideshow. Besides this, the program also allows viewing and modifying EXIF information for any photo.
Advanced users can take advantage of the filmstrip feature, that allows them to control all the aspects of the slideshow in the same way if they were producing a video. Slideshows created using the filmstrip can be saved as a project file. Unfortunately, there is no option to export the slideshow to a video file.
Pros:
It allows anyone to display any photo in a slideshow, using various transition effects. Besides that, it features a filmstrip option, that can be used by more experienced users for controlling all the aspects of the slideshow. Furthermore, slideshows can be saved as project files.
Cons:
The program doesn't include an option for saving the slideshow as a video file. Besides that, the interface seems a bit difficult to use at first.
Pictomio is an astonishing program for creating unique photo slideshows.
